36 hours

I've officially known I'm the mom of a baby boy for almost 36 hours now and it still doesn't seem real. While I was babysitting the boys today I couldn't help but wonder what things my son would do like them. Would he want to show off his Herculean strength like Dylan? Would he want to race people all day long like Cody? Then I started thinking about how it will be to see Ashley with her baby brother, it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

On the way to the ultrasound I was thinking about Monday's events and realized my daughter has a natural talent at organizing and managing things/people (from stuffed animals to toddlers and she even tries to manage adults once in a while). I was so proud of her when I realized this because I think it's a great skill that she can use no matter what she's doing in her life. So then I started wondering if my mini manager will try to organize, plan and take care of every need little Colin has. I can see her getting upset with me if I don't do something just right with Colin (heaven forbid we liven things up and maybe break away from the everyday schedule that can get a little monotonous). I think it will be great fun being a mom to two kids and I am so excited to watch the relationship and bond between Ashley and Colin form. There are just certain things a girl needs her brother for and I'm glad she'll have that because I don't know what I would do without my brother's advice, jokes, ideas and friendship. I know the bond between Ash and Colin has already started because she really wanted to give my belly a hug and kiss when she got back from the desert, I can't wait to see how much she loves him once she lays on the cute little guy.

I think it's going to take a few more weeks for us to realize the gender ratio will soon be equal. As much as I love having the upper hand in family votes right now I can't wait to spend endless summer days at the beach watching Jason walk down to the water holding hands with one kid in a bikini and the other in trunks- I CAN'T WAIT!
